Tini Mohini Thapa a Gorkha daughter becomes singing sensation in Mizoram

Aizawl,Mizoram:- “The HUNT” a show initially started as a screening test for would be hindi singers who are going to represent Mizoram in Mumbai has stirred the hill state of Mizoram.People are talking about the show every where, be it shops,bus stops,restaurants,schools, you name it this show is catching people’s attention like a wild fire in forest.

The show has come to a stage where only 10 contestants are remaning out of 80. Good news is that out of 10 contestants 3 are Gorkhas namely Sudan Thapa, Ravi Tamang and Tini Mohini Thapa.

But Tini Mohini Thapa has become the star attraction of the show, daughter of   proud parents Shri Shersingh Thapa(A police officer) and  Shanti Rani Thapa. She Narrates that,she didn’t had the intention to participate in the show as she had come down from  Singapore to meet her parents on holidays as she is currently studying there,however her well wishers told her to participate in the show and overnight  she has become the talk of the town. A proud moment for all the Gorkhas in Mizoram.

Gala round for top 10 contestants which is also an elimination round will be starting tomorrow.The elimination will be done according to the viewer’s vote.All Gorkhas are keeping their fingers crossed as they want their contestants to represent them and Mizoram in Indian Idol and be a bridge between Gorkhas and people of Mizoram.

    Shanti & Shersingh Thapa,

    Proud of your daughter from the other side of the globe. Hope Shanti does not stumble down the steep stairs again to sprain her ankle.
