Posted by Ramesh Khati on August 18, 2009

Shillong, Aug 17 (PTI) Altogether 117 students and 15 teachers of a premier school here were today quarantined while three more samples of suspected swine flu patients were sent for tests by Meghalaya health authorities.

Students of all the three sections of Class VII and 15 teachers of St Edmunds School were screened, prescribed medicines and isolated for 10 days, Director of Health Services K H Lakiang said.

The move was prompted after one of the students, Joshwa Lyngwa, tested positive yesterday.

Five persons have tested positive for swine flu in Meghalaya in less than a week.
