Posted by Ramesh Khati on October 31, 2009

Itanagar, Oct 30 (PTI) The newly-elected Dorjee Khandu ministry in Arunachal Pradesh will be expanded on November 2, official sources said today.

Khandu returned from New Delhi today after getting the list, containing names of ministers to be inducted in his ministry, approved by Congress president Sonia Gandhi, the sources said.

The maximum strength of the ministry has to be limited to 12 under the law. The ruling Congress came back to power, winning 42 of the 60 seats in the October 13 assembly polls.

Khandu, who led the Congress to secure a two-thirds majority in the assembly, was sworn in as the chief minister on October 25.

The newly-elected fifth state assembly will have its first session from November 3 to 5, an official release said.
